WEDDINGS
Conducting weddings is always a privilege and we are delighted to be asked to do so. We are, however, governed by fairly strict rules in terms of who qualifies.

As the national or "Established Church" we are obliged to take such services for those who live within our parish boundary and for those who regularly attend the church and are therefore on our "Electoral Roll" (a list of church members). Being a good neighbour to other parishes requires that we do not steal their parishioners!

In addition to the above, the Church of England has recently widened the rules to allow us to conduct weddings for those with a strong link to the parish or church. This includes those who have lived in Coleshill in the past, those who have attended our church in the past or were baptised in our church, and those whose parents or grandparents were married in the church.

We sometimes conduct weddings for those who have been divorced but this requires a meeting with the vicar (contact details here) who checks on a case by case basis that we are able to comply with the bishop's guidelines for the marriage of divorcees.

Please note that wedding blessings are not governed by law - we are therefore always delighted to welcome people for such a service.
