Coleshill Christingle
Saturday 20th December @4pm
A Christingle service is a bright and joyful Advent celebration filled with colour, candles, and carols! At the heart of it all is the Christingle—a decorated orange that’s packed with symbolism. The orange stands for the world, the red ribbon wraps it in Christ’s love, the sweets represent the goodness of creation, and the candle shining on top reminds us that Jesus is the Light of the World.
These services are full of music, storytelling, and often a bit of organised chaos as everyone builds their Christingles together! They usually end with the magical moment when all the candles are lit, filling the room with warm, glowing light—and often raising support for children’s charities like The Children’s Society.
It’s festive, meaningful, and wonderfully fun for all ages.
